Four crates stand on the pirate ship at spawn, each opened with its own key. Keys are real items: hold them, trade them or sell them in a chest shop.
Opening a crate
- Left-click a crate to preview everything inside.
- Right-click to open it with a key from anywhere in your inventory.
- Sneak + right-click opens up to 10 at once.
Opening one key plays the spin right at the crate: your key flies in, a reel of prizes slides out around the front and slows down onto the gold arrows, and the winner pops out and flies into your hands. The rarer the prize, the bigger the finish. Sneak while it spins to skip to the result. Everyone nearby sees your spin; if someone else is already spinning that crate, you get your own copy that only you see.

Bounty Crate specials
Five rare pirate items with their own looks and powers, found nowhere else:

The Bounty Crate also holds the Most Wanted chat tag. It comes only from this crate and only once: after you win it, it never rolls for you again. It is never sold and Star doesn't include it.
Timberhop treasures
Each Monthly Key opens the Timberhop Crate for one of 12 lumberjack treasures, all equally likely, such as the Lop-Ear Axe (fell a whole tree), the Hollow-Log Canoe and the Leaf Popper (Speed III and Haste III for you and everyone your leaves hit).
Your 15th opening skips the spin: you pick any treasure you want. It happens once. Click it, then Confirm. Closing the menu keeps your pick for later and hands your key back. Peek at the crate to see how many openings you have left until your pick.
